Pinot Noir is the most seductive grape in the world, and it knows it. This one opens with a hush, a quiet bouquet of red cherry, pomegranate, and dried rose petal, layered and lovely. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, with that gossamer texture that only Pinot can produce. Subtle earthy notes run underneath like a current: forest floor, a hint of mushroom, a breath of damp autumn leaves. The tannins are fine and barely-there. The finish is soft and long. It's a wine that asks for nothing and gives everything.
